Immersive audio-visual EEG Installation using Emotiv Epoch Sensor, Python, and Touchdesigner

The body-powered installation digitally animates participants’ inner ecosystems through a complex web of virtual systems. Virtual body signals materialize through a feedback loop between the environmentally-modified body and the bodily-modified environment. The artwork utilizes BCI technology, machine learning software, audio, and visualizations to facilitate an embodied reflection on how the sensorial body attunes, intra-acts, and materializes within a dynamic virtual network of complex interactions between human and nonhuman agents. It is an invitation to navigate the nuanced ways intra-connections between somatic technologies, the central nervous system, and the environment affect sensory experience, embodied cognition, consciousness, and sociocultural behavior.
